Adjunct Faculty - Public Health

About the Course

This course is designed to provide a foundation of epidemiologic terminology, concepts, and measures. Students will identify key sources of data, calculate basic epidemiology measures, and evaluate the strengths and limitations of epidemiologic reports. Additionally, students will gain exposure to the concepts of epidemiologic study design, association, and causality, as well as the epidemiologic approach to disease intervention.

Schedule

Taught on the Boston campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm-4:45pm for the Fall 2026 semester.

Responsibilities

• Delivers engaging instruction in face-to-face, in-person classes
• Provides assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts covered
• Provides students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the School, texts, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria
• Uses the University's learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students
• Advises and assists students through in-person office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone, or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience teaching, preferably at the college level
