About the role
The Department of Art at Rowan University seeks adjunct faculty members to teach undergraduate courses in various art disciplines including Studio Art, Drawing, Painting, 2 and 3-dimensional Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewelry/Metals, and Art History.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Studio Art, Drawing, Painting, 2 and 3-dimensional Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewelry/Metals, and Art History.
- Develop and maintain a strong rapport with students and colleagues.
- Participate in departmental activities and contribute to the overall success of the program.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Relevant professional or academic experience.
- A track record of successful teaching is desirable.

Benefits
- Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught.
- Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
- Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
