Adjunct Faculty - Criminal Justice (Graduate)
Position Purpose
Aurora University seeks talented adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning. Adjunct faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach graduate-level courses in the Criminal Justice master’s degree curriculum, which may include the following areas: Applied Data Analysis, Crime Causation, Criminal Justice Administration and Leadership, Cyber Security, Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, Ethics and Diversity in Criminal Justice, Problem Solving and Assessment, Seminar in Criminal Justice
Essential Job Requirements
- A terminal degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred; a master's degree in a related field, or a law degree, is required.
- College-level teaching experience is preferred.
- Daytime campus-based availability (mornings) is required.
Skills
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $1,100 per credit hour. This compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the university, based on institutional needs. The pay range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted amount the university reasonably expects to pay for this position. The final pay rate will not be below the lowest pay rate listed herein.
