About the Role
Primarily responsible for the teaching and learning process. Adjunct instructors are hired to teach on a temporary, part-time basis. Teaching courses for credit requires the same professional and scholarly preparation as full-time faculty in the discipline.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate criminal-justice courses as assigned (100% of workload).
- Develop syllabi using the College of Arts & Sciences approved format.
- Hold office hours to assist students with course material and assignments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
- Undergraduate teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in and commitment to undergraduate criminal-justice education.
- Enthusiasm for innovative teaching methods.
