Position Information

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. This is a continuous recruitment pool for adjunct faculty positions within the college.

Primary Purpose of the Organization

The mission of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences is to provide educational programs and services that promote and support excellence in teaching and innovative scholarship in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. The college enhances opportunities for students with diverse needs through professional academic advising and mentoring. It also supports academic departments and support units in improving their programs through strategic planning and assessment, as well as specialized accreditation and program review.

Primary Purpose of the Position

These postings are continuous to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area of interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of FSU at any time, you will be contacted to discuss proposed opportunities. Needs change from semester to semester. Adjunct positions are employed for one semester of one year only on a part-time or full-time basis. Rank is dependent upon credentials.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

A Ph.D. or Master’s degree with 18 credit hours in the desired teaching discipline. Experience with Online Education delivery is beneficial. All degrees must be from accredited institutions. Individual programs require specific licensure/certification.
