Adjunct Faculty - Humanities

General Responsibilities

Create courses to meet learning outcomes and engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving.

Foster an effective learning environment that encourages students' intellectual curiosity and supports their academic, personal, and career goals.

Employ various formative and summative assessments to ensure student learning and achievement of course objectives.

Contribute to and lead student academic and professional communities, promoting collaboration and teamwork.

Qualifications

• M. A. in Humanities or Classics or Comparative Religions or Foreign Language literature
• OR Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in one or several related humanities disciplines
• Demonstrate excellence in teaching, integration of new technologies, and inspiring students to succeed
• Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring, and coaching students
• Develop and revise courses and instructional materials as needed
• Post syllabi and grades on BrightSpace

Pay

Salary Range: $800 - $943/contact hour
