Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is the largest community college district in the United States, serving over 225,000 students annually across nine colleges in Southern California. About the Role

LACCD is accepting applications for Adjunct Manufacturing Technology Instructor positions for the 2027 Academic School Year. This posting establishes a pool of qualified applicants for part-time faculty openings across LACCD’s nine colleges. Applicants may indicate their preferred college locations during the application process. Final assignments depend on enrollment, funding, and class availability.

Qualifications

• Any Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience OR any Associate degree and six years of professional experience.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination is required for all employees per LACCD Board of Trustees Policy 2900. New hires must provide vaccination status prior to or by their start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses within the Numerical Control and Tool & Manufacturing disciplines.
• Create engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
• Demonstrate cultural responsiveness in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.

Pay

Adjunct instructors are compensated at a starting rate of $89.72 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.99 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree may qualify for an additional doctoral differential.
