Manufacturing Technology Adjunct Instructor

Part-time adjunct instructor positions to teach courses in various disciplines based on instructor qualifications. Teaching assignments vary by semester and are contingent on enrollment; there may be semesters with no available assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
  • Prepare and deliver instructional materials (e.g., syllabi, homework assignments, handouts) in person and/or online.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
  • Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
  • Participate in required reporting processes (e.g., grades, participation).
  • Assist students in connecting to college resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Manufacturing Technology or a related technical field, or meet course-specific qualifications:
    • For MFG 115, 135, 137, 150, 160, 166, 170, 172, 174, 185, 190, 240, and 262:
      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., engineering, architecture, technology, manufacturing, welding), or
      • Associate degree or higher and completion of a relevant certification (e.g., MSSC CPT, SACA), or
      • Associate degree or higher and 3 years of documented work experience in industry, or
      • Journeyman Machinist or similar professional license, or
      • Five years of documented industrial experience relevant to the course being taught.
    • For MFG 211:
      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field and successful completion of FANUC HandlingTool training or similar certification, or
      • Associate degree or higher in any field and successful completion of FANUC NOCTI CERT 1 or similar certification, or
      • Associate degree or higher in any field and 3 years of documented experience programming FANUC HandlingTool Operations or similar, or
      • Five years of documented industry experience with FANUC HandlingTool or similar robotic programming software.
  • Unofficial transcripts for all degrees must be included with the application.
  • Relevant work experience must be clearly identified on the application and resume; incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.

  • Adjunct instructors are employed by EDUStaff, LLC, except for those receiving a pension from the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System.
