About the Role
LACCD is accepting applications for Adjunct Biotechnology Instructor positions for the 2027 Academic School Year. This posting establishes a pool of qualified applicants for part-time faculty openings across its nine colleges. Applicants may indicate their preferred college locations during the application process. Final assignments are contingent upon enrollment, funding, and class availability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any biological sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or engineering.
- Two (2) years of full-time related professional experience.
- A sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Verification of experience letters on letterhead stationery must be provided, detailing inclusive dates, full-time or part-time status, and duties. If part-time, the number of paid hours worked per week, semester, or year must be included.
Eligibility Requirement
All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption, as per LACCD Board of Trustees’ Policy 2900.

Pay
The salary for adjunct instructors begins at $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
