About the role
LACCD is accepting applications for part-time, adjunct Interdisciplinary Basic Skills (Noncredit) Instructor positions for the 2025 Academic School Year. This posting establishes a pool of qualified applicants; hiring will occur as openings arise at individual colleges. Faculty may be required to teach in a virtual learning environment using Canvas or other remote-learning platforms. Preference may be given to candidates with demonstrated certification in online teaching modalities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any social science, humanities, mathematics, natural science, or liberal studies discipline, as appropriate for the course.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
A medical certificate indicating fitness for administrative work is required for new employees at the applicant’s expense prior to employment. All employees must provide vaccination status or have an approved exemption in compliance with LACCD Board of Trustees’ Policy 2900.

Pay
The salary for adjunct noncredit instructors begins at $86.85 per standard hour.
