The Roosevelt School at Long Island University invites applications for Adjunct Professor positions in International Relations & Diplomacy.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching and the ability to connect theory to practice in global affairs.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as international relations theory, global security, diplomacy, international organizations, foreign policy, human rights, global public health, and related subjects.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Diplomacy, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated professional or academic expertise in international affairs.
  • Ability to teach effectively at the college level.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related field.
  • Professional experience in government, international organizations, diplomacy, public administration, or non-profit leadership.
  • Experience with experiential learning, policy simulations, or diplomatic negotiation exercises.
  • Prior college-level teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices.
