About the role
The Roosevelt School at Long Island University invites applications for Adjunct Professor positions in International Relations & Diplomacy.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching and the ability to connect theory to practice in global affairs.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as international relations theory, global security, diplomacy, international organizations, foreign policy, human rights, global public health, and related subjects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Diplomacy, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated professional or academic expertise in international affairs.
- Ability to teach effectively at the college level.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related field.
- Professional experience in government, international organizations, diplomacy, public administration, or non-profit leadership.
- Experience with experiential learning, policy simulations, or diplomatic negotiation exercises.
- Prior college-level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices.
