Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in International Relations, beginning August 2026.

The Department of Political Science at the University of Florida invites applications from scholars of exceptional promise in any area of International Relations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality scholarship with strong potential for publication in leading peer-reviewed journals of political science and international relations.
• Teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels, including core courses in international relations.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Political Science (or a closely related field) by time of appointment.
• Evidence of high-quality scholarship or strong potential for publication in leading peer-reviewed journals of political science and international relations.
• Ability to teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels, including core courses in international relations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Work that engages with International Organizations, International Institutions, and International Relations theory.
• Scholars whose work combines strong theoretical contributions with rigorous empirical analysis and engages broader debates in international politics.
