About the role
The Substance Use Disorder Counselor role involves providing individual and group counseling to support clients in overcoming addiction and achieving recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to clients
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and treatment planning
- Deliver case management and coordinate community services
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners
- Participate in supervision, training, and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC credential
- Associate's degree in a human services or related field (bachelor's preferred)
- Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and case management principles
- Experience with justice-involved populations is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
