ADAS Strategy Director
About the role
The ADAS Strategy Director leads Ford's global strategy for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), overseeing the development of future ADAS experiences, compute platforms, and software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of ADAS technologies, including sensing, computing, and motion control, and involves managing the ADAS investment portfolio and competitive intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Own Ford’s global ADAS strategy
- Define future ADAS experiences and enabling technology
- Manage ADAS complexity across the portfolio
- Lead competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and external scanning for ADAS
- Co-lead Technology Strategy organization initiatives
- Maintain ADAS technology and business health databases
- Support the Unified Backlog process
- Collaborate across the global enterprise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of leadership experience in the automotive technology space
- Experience translating technical initiatives into business and profitability analyses
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven team-leadership experience
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA preferred
- Direct experience with ADAS technologies
- Experience leading strategic initiatives and technology unit and/or vehicle program milestones
- Experience with embedded vehicle architectures, especially Ford’s FNVx architecture
- Experience developing diagrams and visual frameworks
- Experience in product or technical program management for complex systems
- Hyper-collaborative leadership style
