About the role

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is seeking an ADA Administrative Coordinator to join our Office of Human Resources within the Agency Operations Division in Salem, Oregon. This full-time, hybrid position serves as the initial point of contact for the agency's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) program. You will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Agency’s ADA Program Administrators and Analysts, manage intake and logging of accommodation requests, maintain confidential ADA record platforms, compile data for compliance reporting, and assist with procurement and vendor coordination for job accommodations. This role ensures all requests are processed efficiently and in compliance with the ADA, ADAAA, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and applicable state policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake and logging of ADA accommodation requests.
  • Maintain complex and highly confidential ADA record platforms.
  • Compile data for compliance reporting.
  • Assist with procurement and vendor coordination for job accommodations.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to ADA Program Administrators and Analysts.
  • Ensure all requests are processed in compliance with ADA, ADAAA, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and state policies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations, or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority; OR
  • Valid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one year of Human Resource experience; OR
  • Three years of Human Resource paraprofessional or technical-level experience.
  • The State Certified Human Resources Professional (SCHRP) certification substitutes for six months of human resource professional-level experience.
  • Valid certification as a SHRM Certified Professional substitutes for one year of human resource professional-level experience.
  • Valid certification as a PSHRA-CP from the Public Sector HR Association substitutes for one year of professional human resources experience.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of general human resource functions, ADA/ADAAA processes, and federal or Oregon state employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to handle, log, and secure highly sensitive, confidential medical documentation with discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to work independently, manage competing workloads, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance on complex processes.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, collaborate across all levels of staff, and resolve issues between individuals with competing interests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and enterprise communication platforms.

Pay

$4,868 - $7,179 per month. The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range. If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.

Additional Details

  • This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position based in Salem, Oregon.
  • Employment is contingent upon a criminal records check that meets OHA criteria.
  • Successful completion of the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance process and LEDS (Law Enforcement Data System) certification is required.
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
  • Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete I-9 documentation to confirm work authorization in the United States.
