The Ad Operations Specialist will manage the end-to-end operational processes supporting Linear TV advertising campaigns. This role requires close attention to detail, independent execution, and collaboration with media teams, buyers, and external network partners to ensure accurate campaign delivery and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage media logs, validate campaign data, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain operational excellence.
- Collect and manage pre-logs and post-logs from assigned television networks.
- Ensure campaign data is accurately uploaded into internal systems according to established weekly deadlines.
- Validate spend, spot totals, and campaign information by comparing system data with network-provided logs.
- Investigate and resolve technical discrepancies, including duplicate logs, system errors, and data inconsistencies.
- Reconcile post-logs against original media orders to identify incorrect or unexpected airings.
- Analyze campaign discrepancies, including incorrect creative assets, programming conflicts, or spot separation issues.
- Manage credit memo processes, including identifying eligible credits, coordinating approvals, and tracking completion.
- Communicate with network partners to understand clearance issues and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain project tracking and progress reporting through tools such as Jira.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Support accurate client billing by ensuring campaign data and reconciliation processes are completed successfully.
Requirements
- Experience in advertising operations, media coordination, or related fields, with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage detailed workflows under strict deadlines.
- Organized, proactive, technically capable, and comfortable collaborating across multiple teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail when reviewing spend figures, spot rates, campaign data, and creative identifiers.
- Experience with ad servers such as CM360 or Innovid and familiarity with digital ad serving processes.
- Familiarity with digital media formats including Audio, Video, CTV/OTT, OLV, and Display.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filtering, and pivot tables.
- Familiarity with Linear TV concepts such as dayparts, clearance inventory, avails, and watermarking.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira and media planning or buying platforms.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, take initiative, and adapt priorities based on business needs.
