This role leads the planning, governance, and operational execution of digital communications activities across U.S. Human Pharma Corporate Affairs. It drives digital excellence, ensuring corporate digital channels, content strategies, and communications capabilities support business priorities, reputation goals, and stakeholder engagement. The position oversees strategic digital content planning, channel optimization, and integrated content strategies for corporate social media, web, and other digital platforms. It also supports internal communications channels and digital engagement as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic digital content plans that advance U.S. Human Pharma and Corporate Affairs priorities across corporate social media, web properties, and other digital platforms.
  • Manage the editorial planning process, aligning key milestones, awareness days, and events with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Corporate Affairs, Human Pharma Communications, Public & Government Affairs, Employer Brand, and other stakeholders to create integrated digital storytelling and audience engagement opportunities.
  • Provide strategic counsel on digital content strategy, channel selection, audience targeting, and content optimization to maximize impact and business outcomes.
  • Contribute to annual communications and channel planning to ensure digital strategies align with organizational priorities and reputation objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational management of U.S. Corporate Affairs digital and social media channels, ensuring effective governance, compliance, and execution.
  • Serve as the organizational lead for digital communications policies, standards, processes, and channel administration.
  • Maintain and evolve governance frameworks, operational procedures, and training resources for compliant and effective digital communications.
  • Lead ongoing maintenance and enhancement of digital communications resources, including guidance documents, channel management processes, publishing workflows, and training updates.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of corporate standards, risk management requirements, and digital communications best practices.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for corporate brand standards across digital channels, serving as a key resource for brand-related consultation.
  • Manage vendor relationships and digital platform contracts, including account administration, financial oversight, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Champion AI adoption and digital innovation across Corporate Affairs, identifying and scaling AI-enabled communications workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver training, resources, and best practices to help teams integrate AI into daily work.
  • Support organizational capability-building by promoting emerging digital trends, tools, and approaches to strengthen communications effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and responsible AI use.
  • Assist in measuring and reporting digital channel performance, providing actionable insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze content, channel, and campaign performance to identify trends, opportunities, and optimization recommendations.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for communications leaders and stakeholders.
  • Use audience, channel, and performance data to improve content effectiveness and strategic planning.
  • Serve as a trusted digital communications advisor to Corporate Affairs leadership and communications teams.
  • Partner with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to advance digital communications while ensuring governance and risk management.
  • Build strong relationships across U.S. and global communications teams to share best practices and align approaches.
  • Monitor emerging digital, social media, and AI trends, recommending opportunities to strengthen Corporate Affairs capabilities and organizational reputation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Seven-plus years of experience in digital communications, social media, content strategy, digital channel management, or related communications disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated digital communications strategies that advance business, reputation, and stakeholder engagement objectives.
  • Experience managing corporate digital channels, governance processes, content planning, and communications operations within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data, insights, and trends into actionable recommendations and business impact.
  • Experience leveraging analytics and performance measurement to optimize content, channel effectiveness, and audience engagement.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions, building strong partnerships with communications, business, legal, compliance, and other key stakeholders.
  • Experience leading digital transformation, innovation, or organizational capability-building initiatives, including adoption of emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions (preferred).
  • Pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industry experience (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of digital publishing platforms, content management systems, social media management tools, analytics platforms, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, including ability to use data and metrics to develop business cases and inform decision-making.
  • Ability to formulate and clearly communicate data insights to others.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $222,000. The position may be eligible for a role-specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements. Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
