About the Role

Join Southern California Edison (SCE) as a Marketing and Digital Communications Advisor and lead innovative marketing strategies that impact both business and residential customers. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of Affordability programs, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives. Your efforts will enhance the customer experience through multi-channel campaigns, driving engagement and delivering meaningful results. You will strategically utilize SCE’s dynamic marketing technology stack to deliver automated communications journeys and best-in-class customer experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize automated marketing efforts, improve customer engagement, and track performance metrics. With a budget ranging from $5-10MM, you’ll support strategic campaigns and regulatory mandates, working closely with external partners and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Participation in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks) is required to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develops Public Relations and Analyst Relations strategies to improve engagement, brand awareness, and accountability for impact.
  • Utilizes technical skills and marketing expertise to develop, implement, and optimize automated marketing program campaigns.
  • Collects marketing requirements from stakeholders and converts them into technical requirements for IT groups based on SCE’s marketing technologies.
  • Oversees project management execution for marketing communications activities, including campaigns and content that support the customer journey and align with the selling process.
  • Oversees the development of marketing communications campaigns by understanding media coverage and industry trends and developing fresh story ideas to propel SCE forward.
  • Manages and supervises campaigns, ensuring execution within the guided framework and compliance with the organization’s marketing plans and objectives.
  • Monitors key metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications efforts and makes data-driven decisions to improve strategy.
  • Shapes and oversees strategic marketing communication plans, including developing plans in line with other business initiatives, communicating plans internally, and securing leadership approvals.
  • Reviews analytics and customer feedback to proactively identify and improve customer experiences and satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with product or program owners, responsible for all aspects of strategic campaign development, measurement, and execution of SCE’s marketing, digital, and customer lifecycle nurture programs.
  • Achieves operational efficiency via effective implementation plans (e.g., optimal channel mix, targeted communications, relevant offers, relevant messaging).
  • Ensures the protection of SCE’s physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and properly accesses and manages private customer data, proprietary information, and other sensitive data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in marketing communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience implementing automated offer management using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent enterprise-grade multi-channel marketing hub.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experience with multi-channel marketing strategy and planning (media, banner, radio, etc.) driven by sophisticated analytics and data modeling.
  • Utility or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience with enterprise marketing software – Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, Adobe Experience Manager, or Adobe Cloud.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
