Acute Medicine Clinical Nurse - Full-Time Nights

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in a 25-bed acute care unit specializing in complex medical conditions such as blood disorders, endocrine issues, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases. The nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while promoting a healing environment and educating patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Support patient safety and quality initiatives, ensuring effective communication across care teams.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree, RN license, and the ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least two years of experience.
