Acute Care APP Fellowship (NP/PA)
Job Description Summary
The OhioHealth Acute Care APP Fellowship is an innovative program designed for Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to enhance their skills and prepare for successful transitions into advanced practice roles. The program commences annually in January, with applications accepted from June 1 to June 30, potentially extending beyond this period.
Program Eligibility
- Graduate from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP / AGACNP) or Physician Assistant Program
- Obtain board certification by an appropriate certifying body prior to starting the program
- Obtain a license to practice with prescriptive authority in the State of Ohio
- BLS/ACLS certified

Responsibilities And Duties
Works under direction and in collaboration with physicians, performing services within the scope of the supervising physician's practice. Promotes quality outcomes and participates in initiatives. Must have a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a physician in like practice, adhering to applicable laws, boards, and SA/SCA guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- APRN - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License - State of Ohio
- NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- PA - Physician Assistant - National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants
