ACT Employment Specialist
About the role
As an employment specialist on an ACT team, you will provide support to members with serious mental illness to achieve self-sufficiency and recovery. Your responsibilities include direct job development training, employment support services, and teaching activities to enhance members' skills and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to a small caseload of members, developing plans to help them reach their goals and reviewing their progress daily.
- Work with the ACT clinical team to engage, educate, communicate, and coordinate care with members, their families, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Pursue best practice outcomes across various areas of life, including education, employment, community tenure, social networks, independent living, and reduced substance use.
Requirements
- Education and certification: Master's or bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field, or associate's degree plus relevant experience, or high school diploma plus three years' experience.
- Experience: One year working with seriously mentally ill adults, one year experience with job development and employment services, and a valid Arizona driver's license and car insurance.
- Certifications: Current CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Options certifications.
- Age: At least 21 years old.
