ACH Business Operations Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an ACH Business Operations Analyst to support ACH production operations by monitoring file activity, ensuring compliance with ACH processing rules, and resolving exceptions as they arise. This role serves as a key backup to the ACH desk team, stepping in to conduct research, troubleshoot issues, and assist customers with file processing when capacity is limited. An ideal candidate will be an adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, enjoys problem-solving, demonstrates strong learning agility, works effectively with others, and is willing to develop expertise in ACH operations.

Start times range from 3:00pm - 5:00pm MST or CST.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transaction data, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with internal partners.
• Support high-value client activity through direct outreach and issue resolution.
• Manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ensure timely processing and resolution of ACH-related items in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
• Participate in the modification of existing applications or development of new applications.
• Act as a liaison and technical resource between management, staff, and information systems to define and communicate standards of operational policy, plans, customer service, or financial/performance reporting.
• Ensure all documentation and requests comply with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain applicable systems to monitor and track projects, plans, and/or data; provide reports to management as needed.
• Write test plans and perform tests of new systems and modifications to existing systems.
• Develop communication tools to ensure a high level of awareness of policies, plans, procedures, or study/project results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically five or more years of related experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Thorough knowledge of policies, plans, procedures, products, and regulatory requirements for assigned business unit.
• 5+ years of related experience within ACH.
• Ability to conduct an analysis of a business need, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, and conferring with business line leaders.
• Strong understanding of project management and testing methodology and procedures.
• Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues, and report on test results.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to work as part of a project team.
• Effective verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
• Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications.
• A willingness to learn and ability to make thorough and quick decisions.

Location Expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $81,515.00 - $95,900.00, reflecting figures based on the primary location. The actual range may differ based on the location of the role.
