Accounts Receivable Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Reach out to customers by phone and email to verify and update payment details, billing info, and contact records
  • Enter and update customer data in the accounting system, double-checking for accuracy along the way
  • Track down missing or incorrect account info using online tools and other resources
  • Sort out discrepancies with customers through friendly, professional communication
  • Help the Accounting/AP team with day-to-day admin tasks tied to vendor and payment records
  • Keep organized notes on account updates and communication for tracking purposes
  • Handle sensitive financial and customer info with discretion and confidentiality
  • Flag any recurring issues that pop up so the team can smooth out processes
  • Stay sharp on accuracy and consistency — the little details matter here

Qualifications

  • Some background in data entry, admin work, AR, or accounting support is a plus
  • Great attention to detail and a knack for accuracy
  • Comfortable picking up the phone and chatting with customers
  • Good at juggling tasks and staying organized, even when things get busy
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and quick to pick up new systems
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
