Accounts Receivable Representative (Medical Billing) - Hybrid Schedule

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Representative (Medical Billing) position is within the OrthoCarolina Revenue Cycle team at the OrthoCarolina Business Office in Charlotte. This role is hybrid, with rotating days in the office based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AR queues at a reasonable age-base date as defined by management.
• Review and appeal denied medical claims for bundling and medical coding-related issues.
• Timely follow-up on all appeal submissions.
• Process corrected claims and assist with timely turnaround for medical documentation requests.
• Provide follow-up and feedback to management regarding assignments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
• Three years of accounts receivable experience, preferred.
• One year of experience in a health care organization.
• Working knowledge of ICD 10 required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
