About the role

The Customer Service Specialist will be based at OrthoCarolina Business Office in Charlotte.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and route business office patient account phone calls to the appropriate individuals within the company.
  • Aid patients with their account questions and inquiries regarding the OrthoCarolina business office.
  • Process electronic insurance claims, generate and analyze custom claims reports.
  • Handle processing of insurance claims for secondary payers.
  • Process credit card transactions and post them to patient accounts.

Qualifications

  • Health care and/or medical billing experience.
  • Experience in processing electronic insurance claims and generating claim reports.
  • Ability to handle insurance claims for secondary payers and process credit card transactions.
  • Comfortable with heavy phone work and able to maintain focus in a high-volume environment.
