Accounts Receivable Representative

Because we are expanding rapidly through acquisitions and internal growth, we have an excellent opportunity available for an Accounts Receivable Representative/Collection Specialist on our Northeast Regional team. This is a full-time, onsite position out of our Baltimore call center in Linthicum, MD.

Pay

The hourly rate range for this position is $19.00–$20.00, depending on experience. There is also opportunity to earn a performance-based bonus.

Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is North America’s largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider, operating in over 100 company-owned branches, independent contractor territories, and approximately 400 independent franchise operations across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate payment processing for invoices.
• Complete accounting transactions required to report and manage receivable and specific revenue accounts accurately and on time.
• Input data accurately into the AS400 system for record-keeping.
• Adhere strictly to accounts receivable processes to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Proactively monitor the payment status of all completed jobs to ensure timely payments and accurate financial tracking.
• Complete reports and update the General Manager on the status of accounts receivable.
• Contact customers with delinquent accounts to confirm invoice receipt and communicate payment terms.

Requirements

• Demonstrated prior experience in accounts receivable accounting is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of common software programs.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up abilities.
