About the role

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager at Gryphon Healthcare will oversee a team of AR Specialists, focusing on claim submission, appeal processing, and collaboration with insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the AR Department, including staffing, training, coaching, performance improvement plans, and problem resolution.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, make hiring decisions, and develop corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Achie accurate claim submission and timely collections in accordance with all contract terms, including Medicare, Medical, managed care, and commercial insurance.
  • Collaborate with RCM operations to analyze reimbursement from various sources, including carrier reimbursement exception reporting, unbilled analysis, and follow-up pending claims analysis.
  • Ensure maximization of cash collections through diligent and timely monitoring of open accounts receivable balances.
  • Develop and monitor AR policies and procedures, and implement changes in workflow to improve productivity.
  • Distribute and assign duties and responsibilities to employees, ensuring skill levels are appropriate to the assigned tasks, and monitor the department's productivity.
  • Effectively interact and collaborate with other departments to resolve and clarify system issues.
  • Provide leadership, drive change, and facilitate process improvements.
  • Promote organizational efficiency, identify opportunities for change and continuous quality improvement, and implement automation to improve efficiency.
  • Create a work environment that fosters teamwork, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with carrier rule changes and disseminate the information within the company.
  • Understand and remain updated with current billing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Assist as needed to perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • College or business degree preferred.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous supervisory experience and five (5) years of experience in medical billing.
