Accounts Payable Supervisor- Freights Payable
Responsibilities
- Maintains oversight of freight payables team for Yusen customers.
- Manages FedEx billing for all Yusen US locations and coordinates with facility managers for invoice approvals.
- Verifies invoice details, uploads invoices into accounting software, and ensures timely payment.
- Researches discrepancies and missing payments, and monitors freight payable inbox.
- Trains and guides staff on improving efficiency and evaluates their performance.
- Provides assistance to the Manager, AP and other management personnel.
- Supervises the freight payables team and approves invoice batches for carrier payment.
- Reviews vendor aging reports weekly to ensure timely payment.
- Serves as the point of contact for freight payable escalations and vendor/carrier concerns.
Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or warehouse industries preferred.
- At least 5 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 3 years in supervisory roles.
- Experience in a shared services environment.
- Process improvement and KPI tracking experience desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, and transportation software (3GTMS, CargoWise, Triumph) is advantageous.
- Extensive Excel proficiency.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.

The Supervisor, AP oversees the accounts payable activity for the freight payables department of YLA. The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 5 years of AP experience, with at least 3 years in supervisory positions.
