ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR
About the role
The Accounts Payable Supervisor position at Trident Seafoods oversees a team within the Accounts Payable department. This role collaborates with the AP Manager, AP Leads, and internal and external business partners to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate staff, addressing performance issues, providing training and growth opportunities.
- Oversee daily workflow of staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Develop, implement, and enforce AP policies and procedures to maintain internal controls and compliance.
- Account Reconciliations and Monitoring of AP Aging to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare reporting and distribute as required.
- Investigate and resolve complex AP.
- Aid in month end and year end close activities.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Ensure all transactions meet compliance and controls policies and requirements. Oversee expense reporting process. Oversee Boat Accounting process. Manage Credit Card Administration. Manage bank relationships for AP related functions.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the AP function.
- Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.
Requirements
- Required Qualifications: 5+ years progressive experience in Accounts Payable, or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Some leadership and/or people management experience, that may include leading projects, owning projects/programs or coordinating the work of others.
- Preferred Education & Experiences: Procure to Pay experience in a medium-sized manufacturing company SAP/ERP experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA): Strong knowledge of accounting principles.

Pay
This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $92,000 to $105,000.
Schedule
This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
