Responsibilities
- Serve as administrator for the Accounts Payable system, maintaining user access, general ledger, and travel/expense policy settings.
- Monitor AP workflows to ensure vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Aid in the development and timely preparation of financial reports, including metrics and key performance indicators.
- Oversee the timely month-end close for Accounts Payable.
- Review employee expense reports and enforce compliance with company policies.
- Review and approve non-purchase-order AP invoices.
- Supervise the Accounts Payable team, acting as the primary resource for questions and issue resolution, while fostering professional growth, supporting individual goals, and drafting annual performance assessments.
- Provide feedback to management based on internal and external customer input, recommending process improvements and efficiencies.
- Prepare required tax-related reports and forms.
- Oversee Canadian Accounts Payable functions and liaise with the UK Accounts Payable team to support issue and dispute resolution.
- Provide coverage for payment processing during the Accounts Payable Manager’s absence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong Accounts Payable experience and working knowledge of AP systems (Oracle experience preferred).
- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Compensation: $65,000 – $68,000 annually (This position is offered as a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the intent to convert to a permanent role.).
