Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team while managing daily workflow and performance.
- Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor account maintenance.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
- Resolve escalated vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Review account reconciliations, aging reports, and outstanding balances to ensure accuracy.
- Cook up month-end and year-end close activities related to Accounts Payable.
- Coordinate annual 1099 reporting and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Develop, document, and improve Accounts Payable policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance departmental performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reporting to accounting leadership.
- Partner with internal departments to ensure timely approvals and effective communication across the organization.
- Axercise assistance with audits, special projects, system implementations, and other accounting initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle Accounts Payable processes, month-end close, and 1099 reporting.
- Experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable or shared services environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
