Accounts Payable Specialist - Westside Lexus

About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist at Westside Lexus is a key member of the finance team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely vendor payments.

Responsibilities

• Review all invoices and vouchers for accuracy and obtain appropriate approvals for payment.
• Prepare and process accounts payable checks and electronic payments.
• Post all open accounting items in the dealership management system (DMS) daily.
• Generate accounts payable reports and maintain organized accounting files and records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and general ledger accounts to ensure payments are accurate and consistent with dealership schedules.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial transactions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of Accounts Payable experience required. Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred but not required.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with a Dealership Management System (DMS) is a plus.
