Accounts Payable Specialist (Remote)

Hemington Landscape Services, Inc., founded in 1984, specializes in commercial landscapes, concrete, and park construction projects in the greater Sacramento area. Known for its family-oriented culture and commitment to integrity and teamwork, the company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Process 500+ vendor invoices each month with a high degree of accuracy
• Match delivery receipts to invoices and track vendor credits
• Reconcile credit card charges and vendor statements on a monthly basis
• Support weekly and monthly accounting tasks, checklists, and reporting
• Follow documented workflows and troubleshoot discrepancies before escalating
• Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute ideas for process improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years of AP/accounting experience in a construction environment
• Hands-on proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor and Sage Paperless
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits
• Clear, professional communication and a collaborative team mindset
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting systems
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
