Accounts Payable Specialist (Remote)

Job Responsibilities - Reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices and payment requests. - Matching invoices with purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation. - Entering accounts payable transactions accurately into accounting systems. - Preparing and processing electronic payments, ACH transfers, checks, and wire transactions. - Monitoring payment schedules to ensure timely and accurate disbursements. - Reconciling vendor statements and resolving invoice discrepancies. - Communicating with vendors regarding payment status, account inquiries, and documentation requests. - Maintaining organized financial records and supporting documentation. - Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. - Supporting audits by providing required financial documentation and reports. - Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. - Collaborating with accounting, finance, procurement, and operations teams as needed. Required Qualifications - Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role. - Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial recordkeeping. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Skills - Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting functions. - Familiarity with ERP systems and electronic invoice processing. - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial controls. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
