Accounts Payable Specialist

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage priorities independently while building strong relationships across a diverse organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, payment administration, and expense reconciliation.
• Process employee expenses and purchase order transactions using an accounts payable workflow system.
• Prepare and process 1099 reporting while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Support internal and external audit activities by gathering documentation and responding to accounts payable requests.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues, process urgent requests, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the full accounts payable process, including live check processing and 1099 preparation.
• Accounts Payable experience utilizing Concur required.
• Familiarity with Financial Edge, NetSuite, or other ERP system required.
• Previous experience supporting a nonprofit, education, government, or other mission-driven organization.
• Ability to assist with audit preparation, including supporting single audits and maintaining accurate financial documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative and diverse environment.

Pay

$24-$28/hr. (DOE)
