ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Ledgent Finance & Accounting, a Roth Staffing Company, is partnering with a growing and well-established construction company near Roseville to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist.

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys owning the accounts payable process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-cycle accounts payable, invoice processing, three-way matching, and weekly check runs. Candidates with payroll experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume invoices from receipt through payment
• Perform full-cycle accounts payable functions
• Complete accurate three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices
• Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Prepare and process weekly check runs
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and approval workflows
• Support the accounting team with reporting and special projects as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience
• Full-cycle AP experience required
• Experience with three-way matching and weekly check runs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Construction industry experience is a plus
• Payroll processing experience is a plus
