Accounts Payable Specialist

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the AP Specialist will work under supervision processing invoices and allocating expenses. This role involves regular contact with vendors, requiring strong self-directed communication skills both written and verbal. While duties are primarily remote, the role reports to the Bronx, NY for initial training and monthly team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Process payment requests by receiving paperwork from various departments and collating invoices and purchases.
• Verify that all invoices are entered through Concur, adhering to established cut-offs and timeframes.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoice status in a timely manner.
• Perform AP-related duties by tracking payments and ensuring invoices are cleared in the accounting system.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing, payment inquiries, and discrepancies.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in a related field of study.
• 2-5 years of previous related Accounts Payable experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Prior experience in non-profit or healthcare is a plus.
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and previous experience with accounting software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Concur, and Great Plains is highly desired.
• Keen attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a team-driven attitude.

Schedule

• Remote, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Onsite training in the Bronx, NY during the first 1-2 weeks of employment.
• Monthly in-person team meetings in the Bronx, NY.

Pay

Starting compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 annually, contingent on experience level.
