Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you looking for an opportunity to build a rewarding career in accounting? Appvion is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our collaborative Finance team in Appleton, WI.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Preparing and processing weekly payment runs
• Reconciling vendor statements and researching payment discrepancies
• Partnering with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
• Aiding in month-end close activities, including reconciliations and accruals
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within Accounts Payable

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
• 1–3 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Dynamics 365 experience is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills with both vendors and internal business partners

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
