Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices are reviewed, coded, approved, and processed accurately within established timelines.
- Supervise payment activities including check runs and ACH transactions while maintaining strong controls and compliance with company policies.
- Provide guidance and oversight to AP staff, setting priorities, resolving escalations, and promoting consistent service levels across the function.
- Use Oracle Fusion Accounts Payable to monitor workflows, troubleshoot issues, and improve the efficiency of invoice and payment processing.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to address vendor questions, reconcile discrepancies, and support timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Evaluate existing AP procedures and introduce practical improvements that enhance accuracy, turnaround time, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Support the accounts payable team through leadership changes and contribute to broader process optimization efforts.
- Participate in AP-related system reviews, implementations, or transformation initiatives as needed, offering functional expertise and operational insight.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable, including prior leadership or supervisory responsibility.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with the Oracle Fusion Accounts Payable module.
- Strong knowledge of core AP processes such as invoice coding, payment processing, check runs, and ACH transactions.
- Proven ability to manage workloads, enforce controls, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced accounts payable environment.
- Experience guiding AP operations during periods of organizational change while maintaining continuity and performance.
- Familiarity with process improvement, system evaluation, or finance transformation efforts related to accounts payable.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with vendors, internal business partners, and finance leadership.
