Dealership Accounts Payable Job Duties

• Aids the Controller in enforcing internal controls and monitoring accounting schedules
• Manages financial assets by overseeing accounting activities throughout the dealership and across multiple reporting systems
• Provides excellent customer service and responds to administrative needs from customers and vendors
• Pays vendors on time and accurately
• Trains employees as directed by the Controller
• Protects operations by maintaining confidentiality of financial information, employee data, payroll records, and operational plans
• Posts invoices, posts history to vehicles, reconciles vendor statements, processes expense reports, and closes each month with accurate information

Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years accounting-related job experience, preferably in the truck or automotive industries
• Interpreting schedules, managing assets, processing depreciation and amortization standard entries, reconciling cash accounts, creating and proofreading complex journal entries, posting accruals, processing accounts payable and receivable
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook, including proficiency in using complex multi-tab and codependent Excel spreadsheets, Word tables, and similar software
• CDK Global dealership DMS experience, or other DMS experience, desirable
• Yooz invoice processing experience a plus
• A patient and gentle attitude, able to coach other PC users, troubleshoot tier 1 user errors, and escalate higher issues to technical support resources
• Lots of interaction with vendors and Riverview employees and customers
• An extremely conscientious, organized, and detail-oriented personality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Easily adaptable to change and unafraid to learn new and better ways to accomplish goals
• Able to work 40-hour weeks and be reliable
