Accounts Payable Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Aid in processing vendor invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
  • Maintain organized accounts payable files and records.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and identify discrepancies.
  • Enter and update data in accounting software.
  • Support the Accounts Payable Analyst and Finance Department with additional administrative tasks.
  • Approve timecards and review Paid Time Off (PTO) balances, including confirming supervisor approval for any usage that extends beyond a negative balance.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma with coursework in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Previous office or bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • A basic understanding of accounts payable and accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • A strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Good communication and time-management skills.
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus.

Pay

Salary Range: $34.00 - $38.00 (Per Hour)
