Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company’s financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Maintain and reconcile account balances by researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Perform monthly financial analytics to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate expense coding and timely processing.
- Partner with Accounts Receivable to support accurate billing and timely collections.
- Collaborate with local tax accountants to support sales tax reporting requirements.
- Cook with internal teams and external partners to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues.
- Aid in external audit requests, including preparation and review of supporting schedules.
Event Accounting & Reporting
- Lead financial tracking and accounting activities for hosted and sponsored events.
- Review event budgets, vendor contracts, and support post-event reconciliations.
- Lead accounting and VAT reporting activities for events held in France.
- Track actual versus budgeted event spend and support revenue attribution in partnership with the Events team.
- Serve as a finance partner to the Events team by supporting budget planning, vendor expense tracking, and financial performance analysis.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- At least one year of relevant accounting experience; CPA designation or active progress toward certification required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Fast learner with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable team player with the ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge and application of U.S. GAAP.
- Ability to demonstrate LHW’s performance drivers (Accountability, Adaptability, Collaboration, Curiosity, and Empathy).
Compensation
- Annualized Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 (salary is determined by individual candidate's skills, experience, and location)
- Target Annual Incentive bonus: 10%
- In addition to your salary, should you pass your CPA license exam within 3 years of employment, the Company will reimburse your CPA exam registration fee limited to one time for each part of the CPA examination.
