Accounting Specialist

Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking an Accounting Specialist. As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform account reconciliation’s, monthly journal entries, assist with monthly close and other special projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• This position will be an important part of the monthly close process to make sure all asset related journal entries are posted and accounts reconciled.
• This person will also work on various projects documenting procedures and providing back up to management accounting assumptions.
• Maintain accuracy of the Equipment Master file and Lot files
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• College level Accounting courses or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years of general accounting experience including journal entries)
• 2+ years of experience in this field
• Strong Excel, e-mail, journal entry, and general ledger skills (Experience with Access is a plus, but not required)
• Exposure to AS400 computer systems
• Ability to multi-task
