Accounting Specialist
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including preparing customer invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and supporting timely payment collection.
- Enter billing and invoice information accurately into internal systems and customer portals to maintain complete and up-to-date records.
- Communicate with clients regarding account questions, payment follow-up, and billing matters in a thorough and service-oriented manner.
- Aid with accounts payable processing and gradually assume responsibility for routine AP tasks under the guidance of the team lead.
- Reconcile account activity and investigate discrepancies to enhance accuracy across billing and accounting records.
- Collaborate with the accounting manager and cross-functional colleagues to support daily accounting operations and resolve transactional issues.
- Contribute to improving consistency in financial workflows as responsibilities are brought in-house and operational practices are refined.
- Provide dependable administrative and transactional accounting support while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Prior experience supporting accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, or billing-related work.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, account reconciliation, and general accounting procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence interacting directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial data and transaction entry.
- The ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on time-sensitive tasks.
- Comfortable learning and using ERP or industry-specific accounting systems.
- Experience in an office-based accounting environment; automotive industry exposure is helpful but not required.
