Accounting Specialist

At NearU-Services, R.A. Hoy, accounting isn’t just about numbers on a spreadsheet. We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Kitty Hawk, NC. This is an opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in getting things right. You’ll play an important role in keeping our financial operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly — while working closely with our operations and leadership teams.

What You’ll Be Part Of

You’ll help manage the financial details that keep the business moving, including:

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Supporting invoicing, billing, and payment posting
• Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries
• Assisting with month-end close and financial reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Supporting expense reports and vendor management
• Responding to accounting questions from internal and external partners
• Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
• Partnering with operations and leadership to solve problems and keep things on track

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Professionalism, accountability, and integrity
