Accounting Specialist

As an Accounting Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to manage key financial processes, collaborate across departments, and contribute directly to the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Process and pay vendor invoices, including entering bills, getting approvals, and sending payments.
• Handle weekly payments by check, ACH, and credit card, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Record daily deposits, cash receipts, and customer payments, keeping accounts updated.
• Aid in monthly accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining financial records.
• Research and resolve payment, billing, and account issues for vendors and customers, and respond to internal inquiries.
• Maintain organized financial files, support audits and reports, and assist in improving accounting processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience required.
• Knowledge of GAAP, Chart of Accounts, and GL preferred.
• Experience using NetSuite required.
• An associates degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and calculations.

Pay

$50,000-$55,000 annually

M-F 8:30am-5pm fully on-site in Baltimore, MD
