About the Role
This position supports the Finance Manager in completing various accounting functions to meet the goals of the finance department. The role includes assisting with special projects and establishing policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Accounts Payable, including entering invoices into the Oracle Accounting system, ensuring timely payments, and resolving vendor disputes.
- Assist the Finance Manager with daily reviews of EDI and E-Payment websites and resolve issues.
- Prepare E-Payment requests for Finance Manager review.
- Complete Accounts Receivable tasks, including issuing sales invoices and preparing monthly intercompany Sales Summaries.
- Supervise the Purchase Order process, including recording POs, matching packing slips, and obtaining payment approvals.
- Administer the Office Supplies cabinet, maintain transaction logs, and record journal entries to allocate costs to departments.
- Assist with recording new fixed asset purchases in FAS and reconciling asset balances between Oracle and FAS.
- Maintain ledgers, spreadsheets, and records as required by the Finance Manager.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
- Assist the Finance Manager with research to resolve routine accounting problems.
- Improve and streamline business processes.
- Design and create reporting tools and systems to support organizational objectives.
- Assist the Finance Manager in fulfilling external auditor requests.
- Manage administrative tasks, including processing daily mail, maintaining the stamp meter, and office equipment.
- Assist in preparing for and completing semi-annual physical inventory observations.
- Set and meet department budget goals.
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as required by the Finance Manager or management.
- Ensure all duties conform to safety and security standards.

Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Five years of previous accounting/bookkeeping experience desired.
