About the role
Join the Chase Travel team as a Controller and play a key role in the monthly financial close process. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within JPMorgan Chase, one of the world's most innovative banks.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with the month-end close calendar and pre-approved schedules.
- Supervise staff and senior accountants to ensure timely and accurate completion of all month-end close activities.
- Provide continued support for Chase accounting processes as needed.
- Review and reconcile bank accounts and treasury functions.
- Review and approve client billing and invoicing to ensure adherence to client contracts and terms.
- Lead automation and efficiency initiatives, including the implementation of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) technologies.
- Oversee the completion, review, and submission of periodic local and international government filings.
- Coach and develop the accounting team to support the achievement of professional goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 6+ years of experience in Accounting (GL, AR, AP).
- Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office software, especially Excel.
- Previous experience with large ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to present results.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and a sense of urgency to produce results.
- Innovative, creative, and a problem solver.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while focusing on high-priority items.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling large data elements.
- SAP experience.
