Robert Half is seeking a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager in the St. Louis Park area. This role will report directly to the owner and the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full monthly accounting cycle for a sizable real estate portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate close activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining complete and reliable general ledger records.
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate variances to support accurate cash reporting.
- Review, process, and track invoices and bills to ensure proper coding and payment handling.
- Produce monthly financial statements and related reporting packages for portfolio performance review.
- Coordinate with banking institutions on account activity, documentation, and other finance-related matters.
- Support tax-related accounting activities and provide documentation as needed during reporting periods.
- Maintain accounting records within property management and accounting platforms such as Yardi and AppFolio.
- Contribute to operational accounting improvements and assist with process-related changes when required.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of accounting experience, including significant exposure to property or real estate accounting.
- Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency with Yardi, AppFolio, or similar property accounting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements and manage detailed accounting tasks independently.
- Experience working directly with banks, invoices, and day-to-day transactional accounting processes.
- Knowledge of tax-related accounting concepts is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload without direct staff supervision.
Pay
Salary up to $110K.
