Accounting Manager - Stanley Hotel
About the role
The position is open until August 15, 2026 or until filled. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Aids in the supervision and coordination of accounting operations in the hotel.
- Compiles, reviews, reconciles, prepares, and analyzes entries to facilitate the bookkeeping function.
- Processes financial statements and other reports to ensure accurate, timely information.
- Assists with the functions of Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Income Journal, General Cashiering, Taxes, and Internal Controls.
- Responsible and encouraged to make recommendations, suggest financial control changes, and report SOP and procedural violations.
- Trains, directs the work, resolves problems, and assists with the hiring and performance and salary reviews of the accounting employees.
- Prepares, reviews, and reconciles daily postings, accruals, various general ledger accounts, and bank statements to ensure accurate financial information is available.
- Compiles, prepares, backs up, and analyzes period-end data on food and beverage costs and inventories (gift shop where applicable) to provide information and recommendations to management on current procedures and controls.
- Aids in the preparation of cost potentials as required.
- Assists with the hotel's credit/collection and food and beverage control function to ensure accurate, timely, and quality service and support to hotel customers and management.
- Reviews and monitors internal control procedures in the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Cashiering, Room Operations, etc.
Requirements
A four-year college degree in Accounting is preferred or equivalent education/experience. Required experience includes one to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations.
Qualifications
Requires advanced knowledge of finance and hospitality principles and practices. Must have the ability to investigate and analyze current activities and/or information in a specialized field involving readily available data and indicating logical conclusions and recommendations.
Skills
Requires the ability to train and deal with management, employees. Must be able to read and comprehend reports, computer, ledgers, etc. Limited lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying up to 15-20 lbs. Generally boxes, computer equipment. Limited bending/kneeling required when arranging supplies or equipment. Mobility - limited mobility between offices and departments. No continuous standing required. No climbing or driving required.
